Club Golden Key opened in 1986 as a licensed brothel and sex club at Overtoom 294, and has welcomed guests at the same address ever since. We are the oldest licensed brothel in Amsterdam still run by the same family. Some of our guests have been coming for twenty or thirty years.
In an industry that often confuses spectacle for service, we have stayed deliberately quiet. No street display, no published prices, no online profiles of the women who work with us. Our reputation is the people who return.

Where we are
Overtoom 294, Amsterdam.
We sit on the Overtoom, the avenue that runs from Leidseplein to the Vondelpark. The front door is a hundred metres from the park's main gate. From Amsterdam Central, ten minutes by taxi. From Schiphol, twenty to thirty, depending on traffic.
Far enough from the Red Light District to feel private, close enough to the centre to be easy to reach.
The Overtoom has long been associated with Amsterdam's tradition of licensed brothels and sex clubs. Club Golden Key has welcomed guests at number 294 since 1986, the oldest licensed house in the city run continuously by the same family.

Licensed by the Gemeente Amsterdam.
We operate under an exploitatievergunning issued by the City of Amsterdam, licence number ASD 1054 CJ/B002. The licence has been on file since the Dutch law required it in 2000, and renewed without interruption since. It requires periodic municipal inspection, full identification with the city of everyone working in the venue, and adherence to standards on hygiene, safety, and labour conditions.
Why mention it? Because a meaningful share of what is on offer in this category happens outside the licensed system. The difference shows up in how an evening here is run and how the women who work with us are treated.

Hosted
A host at the door, every night.
Every visit begins at the door, with our host five nights a week, with our hostess the other two. They walk with you through to the bar.
You don't pick from a list and you don't scroll a website. After a few minutes the host walks you past the women who are there that evening, and the choice is yours.
Some guests arrive nervous, especially the first time. The host or hostess knows. A drink first, a few words at the bar, and the rest we work out together. Nothing you need to have decided before you walk in.

By the practical signals that actually matter, continuous family ownership, a clean licensing track record, the discretion of the format, and a location that has worked for forty years, we are among the longest-established licensed houses in the city. Operating since 1986 from the same address, with the same family at the door.

An international house
Welcoming guests who know the FKK and Laufhaus model.
A significant share of our guests arrive from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, often familiar with the FKK and Laufhaus traditions of central Europe. The Dutch licensing system shapes the category differently. Our format is a bar and lounge in one room, plus six private suites under one roof, one downstairs and five above. It is not an FKK and not a Laufhaus; only the private-suite part of the evening overlaps. Guests familiar with the German register tell us they find it quieter and more personal here.

Our story
In the same family since 1986.
Club Golden Key is a family business, in the same family since 1986 and now into the third generation. The house is run by the family in person, not from a distance, the way it has always been run.
What was good has stayed: the tradition, a proper welcome, a clean house. Amsterdam no longer issues new licences for houses like this; what remains cannot be replaced. We mean to keep this one going, as one of the few the city has left.
It has never been about the quick sale here, but about a good evening. A friendly guest who stays an hour is as welcome as one who stays longer; good manners count for more here than the size of the bill. That is what brings guests back.
